I don't have a clever picture to put here to get your attention, so I am going to have to depend on my words and that's scary. See, pictures sell the idea. They get your point noticed, and you're on your way to convincing someone they want what you want them to want.
Well, what I want, can't really be put into pictures. It's PEACE for the first time in any of our lives, it's PROSPERITY for the first time in a long time. It's SECURITY from all that frightens us as a nation; global warming, Ben Laden, the New York Stock Exchange.
What I want you to want is to VOTE. If you can't decide, turn off the t.v., quit finding excuses to do something else, and think about it until you reach a decision. If it's too much trouble because the weather's bad, remember the people who came here when there were no hotels, microwaves or telephones and made their way; the ones who formed the foundation that we all stand on and take for granted each day.
If you still can't get jiggy with it (I hope I spelled that correctly, but if I didn't you know what I mean) VOTE for your children and their children. Vote for your parents and your friends. Vote for the planet.... she needs you and your choice, quite possibly more now than ever before. You matter... to all of us. VOTE.
I love these little babies so much, I actually thought of cramming my size 7's in them at one point... good thing I didn't go there, huh?! Tiny delights to hang on your Christmas tree (or tie on the most beautiful package ever!), or to grace each place setting at your holiday table. Each is made of vintage fabric, papers, and trims, and is signed and dated. See my list of "Sites to Inspire" for the link to American Harvest and directions to find the store. And if you are not in the Bay Area, more of the slippers will be in Serendipity, here in Salem, Oregon, located at 890 Saginaw Street South. (Please use the icon at the right to go directly to the store blog). It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
